Supporting Staff Wellbeing Through Health Checks

In partnership with Medibank, staff were offered free in-office health checks in September.

The initiative aimed to make health screenings more accessible, recognising that preventative healthcare can often be overlooked amid the busyness of everyday life. The sessions provided staff with a convenient opportunity to better understand their health, supporting the early identification of potential health risks and encouraging proactive steps towards maintaining their health and wellbeing.

Each health check included a pre-screening questionnaire, blood test, blood pressure and waist circumference measurements, a cardiovascular disease assessment and lifestyle counselling, and concluded with staff receiving an information and resource pack.

The health checks were well received, with some participants receiving important recommendations and being encouraged to follow up with their GP, highlighting the value of early detection and preventative care.
