Celebrating International Women's Day

Facilitated discussions covering topics from the importance of diverse perspectives, embracing a changing landscape and the benefits of flexibility for all.

What is International Women's Day?

International Women's Day (IWD) occurs annually on 8 March and celebrates the achievements of women worldwide, while advocating for women's rights and equality. At WATC, IWD is a cornerstone event in our Diversity and Inclusion calendar and has been proudly celebrated for many years.

Roundtable Discussion

To commemorate this year's event, we hosted staff at roundtable discussions, designed to encourage open dialogue and facilitate engaging conversations among participants. A wide range of topics was explored, from the importance of diverse perspectives, embracing a changing landscape and the benefits of flexibility for all.

The discussions gave participants the opportunity to learn and hear from a diverse range of perspectives, share their own opinions, while fostering a sense of community. The roundtable discussions also reinforced awareness of the overarching theme—the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

The event concluded with a memorable lunch, giving participants the opportunity to reflect on key topics and further connect with others.
