A Lunch-and-Learn for International Day of Families

Celebrating International Day of Families

We recognised International Day of Families with a 90-minute lunch-and-learn held on 23 June 2026.

The session featured a talk from our CEO Kaylene Gulich on three selected topics related to family, social and economic trends:

  • Understanding changing birth rates
  • Making sense of modern households
  • Families, finances and futures.

The topic of how workplaces of the future will look and operate differently was also discussed in terms of workforce demographics and lifecycles, the need for constant upskilling and skills development, and changing ways of working to support flexibility, especially as technology changes.

The presentation included small-group discussions, giving colleagues the opportunity to reflect on the themes, share perspectives and discuss key takeaways. With approximately 25 attendees, the event provided an engaging and social way to learn about the issues affecting families, while recognising the diverse ways families are structured today and their broader impacts.
