In Australia, the monthly CPI indicator pointed to a fall in consumer price inflation in October. Retail trade saw a surprising decline in October. Dwelling approvals and new home loans continued to fall in October, while house prices fell further in November. From the Q3 GDP partials, construction work done saw the first increase in two quarters, but private capex fell. Offshore, US PCE inflation continued to ease, but consumer spending growth accelerated. The US ADP employment report showed that private payrolls growth slowed down in November. The Chinese NBS PMIs suggested the fastest pace of contraction since April.
