Joanne Poule is Director of Procurement and Contract Management at the Child and Adolescent Health Service. Joanne has almost 20 years of experience across the Public Sector with over 12 years dedicated to Procurement and Contract Management. Joanne’s diverse background in Forensic Psychology achieving a Masters in Criminal Justice empowered her knowledge to work directly with victims and offenders in the WA Justice System. Working in partnership with Non-Government Organisations, Joanne designed and delivered high risk contracts within the Justice system to protect the community and rehabilitate offenders making a positive difference in their lives and reduce their involvement in the criminal justice system. Tourism WA provided an opportunity to transition into a unique and different contract environment and served as a platform for Joanne to develop a commercial contract framework for state, national and international contracts promoting growth in tourism by targeted marketing of WA as a preferred holiday destination.

Over the past 5 years Joanne has dedicated her career to WA Health applying her knowledge and skill set to support WA Health provide a standard of public health that is among the highest in the world. Joanne has held senior management positions to support the delivery of contracted services and performance for two of WA Health’s most complex and high risk environments, the Fiona Stanley Hospital Facilities Management Contract delivered by Serco and the Joondalup Health Campus Service Agreement delivered by Ramsey. Joanne is passionate about delivering services in partnership and has been recognised for her extraordinary commitment to relationship management with key stakeholders. Joanne will be sharing some insight into her approach and lessons learnt in the challenges of contract managing PPP contracts.
