Dan has over 20 years’ experience in treasury, financial risk management and client advisory roles at WATC, Western Power and National Australia Bank (NAB). He has significant experience working in client and stakeholder management, and managing teams to deliver high-quality financial analysis and solutions. Prior to joining WATC, Dan was the Financial Risk Manager at Western Power, responsible for managing the electricity network’s financial risks, including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, foreign exchange risk and commodity price risk.
Dan’s responsibilities at Western Power also included managing a $5 billion debt portfolio with WATC, and developing and recommending financial risk management strategies to Western Power’s Board and senior management. His previous roles at NAB included retail and wholesale funding, debt capital markets, money market and foreign exchange dealing, market risk management and modelling.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Economics degree (UWA), Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (FINSIA) and Master of Applied Finance (Macquarie University). He is a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Certified Finance and Treasury Professional.
