The money we borrow from you is used to finance the provision of essential services such as education, health, housing, transportation, electricity and water supplies throughout Western Australia.
State Bonds offer you the security of an explicit State Government guarantee. In other words, interest payments during the term of your investment and your principal repayment at maturity are guaranteed by the Treasurer on behalf of the State of Western Australia.
State Bonds are offered at a fixed rate of interest for a fixed term.
We monitor yields on a daily basis to ensure that individual investors are offered market related interest rates.
In addition, we offer State Bonds, as a Designated Investment, to people seeking to migrate to Australia under schemes made available by the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
